Department of Marketing Communications

The Department of Marketing Communications, in cooperation with other departments of the FMC, provides tuition in the study programme of Media and Communication Studies, in the field of Marketing and Social Communications. The main purpose of its broad curriculum is to provide future graduates of BA and MA studies with professional competences necessary for their future profession – both theoretical and practical – in order for them to become useful team members and be able to make a career as specialists in marketing communications in both profit-making companies, non-profit organizations, and agencies.

The Department of Marketing Communications considers its Graduate Profile to be one of its most important documents and uses it every year as a base for creating its curricula for individual academic years. Main emphasis is put on subjects dealing with economics, marketing as well as on subjects dealing with individual fields of marketing communications, e. g. advertising, public relations, sales promotion, personal selling, direct marketing, sponsoring, and others. Considerable attention is also paid to the teaching of foreign languages (English and German).

The aim of the teachers at the Department of Marketing Communications is to constantly improve tuition, react to real needs of practical life, and to quickly adapt European trends in the teaching of marketing communications.
